We are a friendly and sociable chorus who sing in Barbershop style music in the East of England.
We always strive to improve the quality of our singing so we take seriously the craft of 4-part unaccompanied close harmony as a large group and as individual quartets but it is not always hard work and no play - there is always a lot of fun and laughter on the way!
What we love to do is entertain. We have appeared at the East of England Show and Peterborough’s Festival in the Park as well as a number of other venues such as Elton May Day and at the Tescos shopping centre in Hampton. Our music committee have worked hard to put together a diverse repertoire of traditional and popular songs which are scored for TENOR, LEAD, BARITONE and BASS. We are always working on something new to add, so there is a lot of variety!
For the last four years Hereward Harmony have enterd the national Barbershop Convention Competition, and have steadily improved their standing. We are entering again this year (2011) and hope to make further improvements.
